What this site is

MatchPredictor is an informational football (soccer) statistics site at matchpredictor.dev. Each day we publish a curated card of picks across Both Teams to Score, Over/Under 2.5 goals, Straight Win, and Draw markets, plus auto-composed selection lists and a public settled-results record.

We are not a bookmaker. We do not accept stakes, hold deposits, or operate gambling services. Optional slip-export links open a third-party sportsbook governed by its own terms and licensing. The site is intended for users aged 18 and over only.

What we publish

  • Daily market cards — filterable lists of published picks with calibrated confidence, kickoff time, and settlement when the match finishes.
  • Selection lists — curated multi-leg lists (Banker, Rollover, Ladder, and related variants) built from the day’s analysed card.
  • Settled results — an honest recent track record of published picks that have finished, including losses. See Results.
  • Methodology — a plain-language description of how signals are blended, calibrated, and gated before publish. See Methodology.

How we think about quality

A pick only appears on the public card when its calibrated probability clears a market-specific publish threshold. After kickoff we settle scores against real results and use that history to recalibrate and retune thresholds. Past hit rate is not a guarantee of future results — it is a maintenance signal that the site is actively curated.

Predictions are statistical estimates. They can be wrong on any given day. Use the tools for information and entertainment; never stake more than you can afford to lose.

Editorial Team & Research Authorship

MatchPredictor is maintained by a specialized group of quantitative analysts, data engineers, and football statisticians. Our team designs and validates statistical goal distributions, oversees daily data scraping pipelines, and implements machine learning calibration routines:

  • Lead Quantitative Modeler: Oversees bivariate Poisson processes, Dixon-Coles parameter tuning, and Shin margin removal algorithms.
  • Sports Analytics & Football Data Specialist: Curates league fixtures, reviews team news anomalies, and monitors data pipeline integrity across European and domestic competitions.
  • Machine Learning & Calibration Engineer: Manages nightly Brier score evaluations, out-of-sample holdout validation, and isotonic regression calibration models.
